COFORD Report - Development and Conservation of Forest Genetic Resources 2020-2030

A new COFORD publication, Sustainable Development and Conservation of Forest Genetic Resources 2020-2030, prepared by members of the COFORD Forest Genetic Resources Working Group, addresses key challenges, including climate change, and how forest genetic resources can be mobilised to increase the adaptive capacity of our forests. The strategy also includes recommendations on how to ensure the sustainable supply and use of seeds and other reproductive material, and steps required for the genetic conservation of tree species. The report outlines the roles of those agencies and organisations involved in forest genetic resources and the importance of coordination and implementation.
